Jarrod May, Head Brewer
Jarrod May grew-up in south central Pennsylvania and later attended the Culinary Institute of America if Hyde Park, NY. He has worked in multiple restaurants in Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Maryland, and New Mexico. He returned to school at Eastern Michigan to pursue human nutrition and dietetics. While working in the supplement industry he discovered homebrewing and quickly earned a few medals. To help propel him into the brewing industry he sought employment where his now wife worked as a bartender, Iron Hill Brewery in Media, PA.
He moved into the position of Assistant Brewer for several years and was eventually asked to become the brewer at The Tap in Bloomington in 2014.
The Mass Ave Brew Pub
In addition to our downtown Indianapolis restaurant, our lower brewery has private seating just off Massachusetts Avenue. Wherever you choose to enjoy it, we invite you to try a pint of our brewer’s best work, sample a flight of Tap Brewery originals, or grab a Growler to-go.
The Mass Ave Brew Pub can host private events for up to 34 guests, with a dedicated event space, street entrance, catering, and bar service.
